Practical Safety Advice

1. Keep Communication on the Platform

Use the built-in messaging system to arrange exchanges where possible.

Do not sharing unnecessary personal information.

Do not share:

– Financial details

– Copies of ID

– Personal documents

2. Arrange Safe Collection Points

When meeting someone:

– Choose a public place where possible (school gates, community centres, well-lit areas).

– If collecting from a home, consider arranging a doorstep collection.

– Do not invite strangers inside your home.

– Let someone in your household know you are expecting someone.

If you feel uncomfortable at any time, do not proceed.

3. Be Clear About Arrangements

Before meeting, agree:

– The time of collection

– The location

– The item being exchanged

Do not feel pressured to change arrangements at the last minute.

4. No Payments

FreeSchoolClothes.com is for free sharing only. Do not send or request money through the platform. If anyone asks for payment, please report it.

5. Trust Your Instincts

If something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. You are never obliged to complete an exchange.

6. Report Concerns

If you experience:

– Requests for payment

– Unsafe arrangements
