How much does it cost?
Nothing. FreeSchoolClothes.com is completely free, always. No fees, no postage, no PayPal — just neighbours sharing what they no longer need.
Who can use it?
Any UK family with a child at a primary, secondary or special school can join. You must be 18+ to create an account.
How many schools can I join?
Up to 4 schools. The first you select is your primary — it appears first in your dashboard and listings default to it.
Listings
How long do listings stay live?
Listings auto-expire after 12 months. We email you 30 days before expiry. You can renew with one click.
Can I post items I want (not just things to give)?
Yes — toggle "Wanted item" when listing. Other parents who have that item can reach out to you.
How many photos can I add?
Up to 5 per listing. Photos are auto-converted to WebP for fast loading.
Safety
Is it safe to meet other parents?
We strongly recommend public collection points (school gates, community centres). Use in-platform messages. Don't share personal addresses with strangers.
How do I report a problem?
Every listing and message has a flag icon. Tap it, pick a reason, and our moderators review every report.
Account
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes — anytime from Profile & Preferences. Account deletion is honoured within 30 days; immutable audit and consent records are anonymised.

Is the site available in Welsh?
Yes — Cymraeg supported throughout. Switch language any time from the top banner or your preferences.
