Ysgol Treganna

Ysgol Treganna is the pilot school for FreeSchoolClothes.com. In summer 2022, during the cost-of-living crisis, parent and volunteer Jon Evans — together with his wife Shân and sons Tom and Siôn — began collecting outgrown uniform in a plastic box outside the family home near Victoria Park.

Within six months, the Evans family had sorted, listed and redistributed 1,851 items from their front living room, with an equivalent retail value of £17,000. What started as a cardboard box has become a UK-wide platform — always free, always community-led.
